Q. Hello Jamie, nice cake! How did you hear about BundleBox?
I found out about BundleBox from a news article while looking for a way to buy an iPad from the USA. My fiancee is American, so I was thinking on getting one sent to her Mom and having her post it over, but the way that BundleBox takes care of all the duty and VAT charges in advance made me choose them instead. It was much simpler for me – not to mention my fiancee’s Mom!
Q. What was your most recent USA purchase using BundleBox?
I bought a hefty 16-port powered USB hub ($159) from Think Geek.

I need a lot of storage day-to-day. I was looking for something that would provide enough power to run all my hard drives, as well as normal things like keyboard, mouse, iPhone and iPad, soon!). The hubs I found in the UK seem to stop at about 7 ports, and from experience they don’t really provide very much juice.
Q. What do you think of the Think Geek website?
It’s full of fun stuff – though it can be a little pricey. Great for presents and esoteric geeky goodies and t-shirts.
Q. What do you think is the ‘must have’ item to buy right now from the USA?
I’m sure different people would have different answers to that, but for me it’s the iPad, certainly!
Q. I understand you are waiting on your iPad arriving via BundleBox. Excited?
I’m very excited. I justified the advance US purchase to myself by saying that I needed it for my work, but really, I’m most looking forward to just reading news on it over breakfast on a Sunday. I’m a ‘true believer’ as far as the iPad is concerned – I really do think it’s going to change the way we interact with computers.
Q. What advice would you give when it comes to purchasing from the USA?
Shop around.
