Q. Hello Jamie, nice cake! How did you hear about BundleBox?

I found out about BundleBox from a news article while looking for a way to buy an iPad from the USA. My fiancee is American, so I was thinking on getting one sent to her Mom and having her post it over, but the way that BundleBox takes care of all the duty and VAT charges in advance made me choose them instead. It was much simpler for me – not to mention my fiancee’s Mom!

Q. What was your most recent USA purchase using BundleBox?

I bought a hefty 16-port powered USB hub ($159) from Think Geek.

I need a lot of storage day-to-day. I was looking for something that would provide enough power to run all my hard drives, as well as normal things like keyboard, mouse, iPhone and iPad, soon!). The hubs I found in the UK seem to stop at about 7 ports, and from experience they don’t really provide very much juice.

Q. What do you think of the Think Geek website?

It’s full of fun stuff – though it can be a little pricey. Great for presents and esoteric geeky goodies and t-shirts.

Q. What do you think is the ‘must have’ item to buy right now from the USA?

I’m sure different people would have different answers to that, but for me it’s the iPad, certainly!

Q. I understand you are waiting on your iPad arriving via BundleBox. Excited?

I’m very excited. I justified the advance US purchase to myself by saying that I needed it for my work, but really, I’m most looking forward to just reading news on it over breakfast on a Sunday. I’m a ‘true believer’ as far as the iPad is concerned – I really do think it’s going to change the way we interact with computers.

Q. What advice would you give when it comes to purchasing from the USA?

Shop around.

Our Bundleers have been a busy bunch this week shopping from all manner of USA Shopping websites. We thought it would be fun to share a few of our favourite ‘Top Shipments of the Week’ with you.

Where would we be without our super computing devices, shiny gadgets and gizmo’s. It seems that there is an app for almost everything and a computing/gadget solution to every area of our lives. Is that good or bad? Who can tell. All we know is that at BundleBox, our Bundleers are usually among the first in the UK and Europe to find out about the latest computing or high tech must have and get them pronto from the best USA websites.

We discovered Think Geek when a Bundleer purchased a rather slick and convenient looking 16 Port USB Hub from there ($159.99 pictured below). All I can say is that this is our new favourite site!

Think Geek combines the latest computing gadgets for home and office, electronics and there is even a section dedicated to iPhone products. However, we love Think Geeks wackier products. These guys have a sense of humour and that translates into their product categories. Our favourite picks are listed below.

Created by Think Geek, the TV Poltergeist ($12.99) will not assist you much in the office environment but will have you howling with laughter as you convince friends and family the TV has been possessed by an evil spirit.

As featured on The Big Bang Theory, the Personal Soundtrack T-Shirt ($29.99) is a compulsory wardrobe staple for fun loving folk who want to enhance their world with their own musical soundtrack. Complete with a built in MP3 player, the T-Shirt lets you choose from its default music settings or add your own. Genius!

Ever wondered what your dog gets up to when your at work? The clever folk at Think Geek have also thought about that and came up with the amazing Pets Eye View Digital Camera. The device is clipped onto your furry friends collar and snaps photographs of their day for you to view on your return. You can set the photo timer to take photographs every few minutes. Check out some pet action shots from the camera, sent in to Think Geek here. Hilarious!!
