Our Bundleers are always shipping something interesting from the USA. This week we met Bundleer Kam who came across the
Fitbit on a USA website and just had to have it!

Kam Lagan our Bundleer of the Week
Hi Kam, How long have you been shopping from the USA?
I have bought many items from the USA over the past 10 years. I am rather impulsive and impatient which makes it nearly impossible not to buy something from the USA if I want it immediately - and in some cases cheaper….which is odd…
Where did you hear about the fitbit?
I heard about Fitbit through a review on
Endgadget.

The Fitbit
What does it do?
It monitors your activities be it
walking, being sedentary or sleeping. It will calculate the number of steps you have taken in a day, approximate the miles you have travelled on foot and determine how many calories you have burnt. The website that accompanies the
Fitbit allows you to input your diet for the day and help provide more accurate information.
All of these statistics are approximate and there are many experts that argue the metrics are nonsense and that the technology is flawed. But the key point I feel they miss is that the individual has taken an interest in trying to control their fitness.

The Fitbit
How will you incorporate it into your workout?
There is not much to incorporate. All I need to remember is to carry it with me. The clip is really discrete and requires you doing nothing but carry it with you. When you go to bed, you need to press a button to activate the sleep monitor and again when you wake up, but these are minor interactions.
Tell us about the first time you used it.
The first time I used it I was surprised at how little interaction was necessary. I also loved the way the associated software that interrogates and makes sense of the data the little clip has collected - can be as complex or simple as you like.
How have you found the BundleBox service?
I found the Bundlebox service surprisingly easy to use. The order I made was delayed by months due to the manufacturer and Bundlebox did the chasing for me.
BundleBox acted on my behalf and would periodically inform me on progress which I found great!
What advice would you give to those starting to shop from the USA for the first time. Any tips/advice?
Apart from the electrical problems I have discussed above I would consider the support issues on various products you buy from the USA. Assuming you are buying goods from the USA because they are not available in your region, you would need to question why they are not available in your region. For example, in the case of mobile phones, make sure the bandwidth is correct for your region. Clothes are also difficult as they are rated against a slightly different sizing system to Europe.
Thanks Kam,
Happy Bundling.
The BundleBox Team.
