The iPad has been one of the most exciting purchases picked up by a host of our Bundleers from the USA this year before its Worldwide release. A fantastic product in itself, there are also a few super-cool accessories to go with it. This week we met up with Lynette Webb who recently snapped up a Dodo case for her iPad.

Hi Lynette, you used to live in the USA, do you miss the shopping?
I used to live in the US and since moving away always regretted not having the same wide selection. Until I found BundleBox it was a real hassle to shop from US online as I had to rely on kindness of friends to forward things on or store them until I visited. Now it’s great to be able to have access to US stores direct.
What have you bought most recently?
I have bought a Dodo case $59.95. I heard about it in a blog article and fell in love at first sight!

Tell us about it.
It protects the iPad if you’re carrying it around, and also acts as a stand if you want to prop it up. The case I got from Apple felt really rubbery and I didn’t like it.

The Dodo case feels like you’re holding a book, it’s much more tactile. I got the ipad in the first place so that when I’m  online at home I’m not stuck in front of a laptop, just like all day at work. Having this new case enhances the difference.
What is the history behind the Dodo?
It is made by an old-fashioned bookbinder who was on the verge of going out of business, and now thanks to the popularity of Dodo cases has recovered and even been able to hire more staff!

What is on your USA shopping list next?
No, nothing specific yet but am sure it won’t be long!
How have you found using BundleBox?
The service so far has been stellar. Fast replies to questions, and they’ve gone out of their way to help. Eg, a few months back I needed to get a replacement glass beaker to go with my UK bought kitchenaid coffee grinder after I’d broken it. Kitchenaid repairs in UK couldn’t help so I called kitchenaid in US. They had them in stock but wouldn’t ship internationally, nor even accept nonUS credit card. Luckily BundleBox rescued the situation by calling them and placing order on my behalf.
What are your shopping hints and tips?
Shopping during sale season can yield some amazing bargains from big US stores, but the best part is being able to buy from niche specialists, most of whom don’t ship internationally. Avoid heavy or bulky things so as to cut down on postage fees. Try and combine purchases into batches so that they can get sent together in combined packaging. The BundleBox repackaging service is especially worth it when you do this…
Thanks Lynette,

Happy Bundling!
