This week BundleBox is delighted to introduce you to the lovely June Denton.
When she is not working, June who is Scottish by birth is kept busy with her four amazing sons and three lovely grandchildren. We wanted to find out more about what she buys from the USA!
Hi June, When and why did you start shopping from the USA?
For the last ten years I have been fortunate to have worked and visited the USA every year and have enjoyed a different type of shopping experience. Initially I was able to use stores not here in the UK such as Saks, Barneys, Banana Republic and Abercrombie & Fitch. Now that our client base is firmly in the UK we do not have the same opportunities to save money and experience the huge choice that is on offer in the USA. For a while it was my perfume, Fracas, that was the biggest problem as I could only buy it in the USA as it had been withdrawn from Europe (even though it was a French scent) – so friends would help out in securing it for me. Now it is so much simpler.
What have you been buying recently?
I buy a wide range of goods all the time. I have recently purchased a Professional level Kitchen Aid mixer, magformers, serious skincare from Perricone, jewellery, clothes and books. I would say my regular purchases are from Levengers the stationery people, books and ebooks and probably expensive skincare which is cheaper in the USA.
What advice would you give to someone starting to shop from the USA for the first time?
Do not get carried away. Work out the real costs to you getting the item in your hands. I have often gone for the model up or bulk buying because it is in reality more cost effective.
Do you have your eye on anything in particular to buy next?
The latest edition of the Barnes and Noble Nook.
Well funny you should say that June as BundleBox has already alerted Bundleers to this super-cool product in our blog!!
Tell us about your BundleBox experience?
From the beginning it has been phenomenal. The team has helped me through many different problems. The level of personal service is very good in fact I feel Marc and I have become buddies. It was a surprise to learn that you have so many users.
Over time I have had BundleBox Buy things for me, sort out issues with Customs, help me to decide about buying heavy electrical goods and shipping them and Shipping cost effectively and using the service wisely.
