If you have not realised it by now, I can tell you that I LOVE using BundleBox to shop USA. There is nothing easier than sitting at home, browsing beautiful websites and click click click I have bought something super-cool. However, when the occasion arises to visit the USA and perhaps indulge in a little retail therapy you can rest assured that I am sooooo there!
I visited Washington DC this time after a gruelling 20 minute tour of the top tourist spots tick tick tick, I hot-footed it to the magical Pentagon City Mall. After equipping myself with a fresh Starbucks coffee, I took a deep breath and hit the shops.
This Mall is full of every kind of shopping experience including ladies, men’s and kids clothes, sports apparel and equipment, home wares, beauty and cosmetics and unfortunately, something you cannot ship home: the most delicious frozen yogurt. I checked out a few of the main shops spread over the generous 4 floors.
I loved Nordstrom. It was super sleek and elegant. I shopped leather boots and handbags for the winter and updated my make-up case with Bobbi Brown and MAC. The best thing is all of this and more is available to buy on the Nordstrom website.
Next on my shopping tour, I had to stop by Lucky Brand to pick up some totally on trend khaki trousers for next season. I do love their website though, as the sale items seem better value!
A visit to the USA and the Pentagon City Mall would not have been complete without my coveted J.Crew. It was like visiting an old friend with exquisite taste in clothes. The sale was FABULOUS and I picked up a number of jersey dresses, work trousers, some gladiator sandals and a pretty summer dress.
The Limited had a sublime range of pencil skirts, jackets and jewellery. I also discovered that their shoe range was something to admire!
After my caffeine fuelled shopping trip I retired to the picturesque surrounds of Old Town Alexandria for dinner at the Brabo Tasting Room and devoured several of their irresistible savoury wood-fired tarts.
Well, what can I say? All this shopping certainly works up an appetite. Although, I am sure you will agree it was all in the name of ‘research’.

Like any other lady with a nack from shopping, this weeks Bundleer Ruth Todd keeps an eye out for the best clothes the USA has to offer. She is also keen on shopping books from the USA!
Hi Ruth, how long have you been shopping from the USA?
I have been shopping from the USA since January 2010
What do you usually buy?
I shop for various things. It tends to be things like clothing and books
Have you found the USA to be good value?
Yes I definitely think that shopping in the USA offers better value and choice.
How do you find the experience?
I feel that the USA websites are usually quite user friendly and very easy to use.
As a seasoned Bundleer, what advice would you offer someone thinking of shopping from the USA?
I would say you should enjoy and have fun. It is so easy to use the websites and shop your favourite things!
How do you go about shipping items back to the UK from your BundleBox?
If I have bought several items I tend to I wait until they have all arrived in my US BundleBox then ship them home altogether. However, I have also booked shipments back as things arrive in my box individually. It just depends.
How have you found the BundleBox experience?
BundleBox experience has been really fantastic. You are informed about your shipment every step of the way. If I have had a query or need help they respond to my emails immediately. In my opinion this is the best way that people can buy and have shipped outside of the USA. I also find the BundleBox website is so easy to use.
Thanks Ruth!

This week BundleBox meets Bundleer Chris Byrne who shops USA for Sun Creams, Vitamins and is a little tempted right now to pick up a super-cool 27″ iMac. Nice!
Hi Chris, When and why did you start shopping from the USA ?
I started shopping online from the USA at the beginning of the year, mainly for goods that I couldn’t get in the UK.
What do you usually buy?
So far it’s been health products such as vitamins and sun creams but I’ve recently been browsing for DVDs and clothes.
Do you think the USA is a better value, more choice destination to shop?
For things such as electrical goods, definitely.
How do you find shopping from the websites?
Easy, and I’ve never had any difficulties or issues.
What advice would you give to someone starting to shop from the USA for the first time?
Check the returns policy for each retailer you purchase from and always use a currency converter!
Do you tend to buy lots of different things from different places at once?
Whenever possible, yes. It’s cheaper and more convenient to organise just one package.
Do you have your eye on anything in particular to buy next?
A 27″ iMac would be nice…
Tell us about your BundleBox experience.
The best thing about BundleBox is that the paperwork and customs charges are included within the total cost. This saves a lot of time and hassle.
Thanks Chris,
Happy Bundling
The BundleBox Team.
